Why Weather Prep Matters

• Safety first: Clear, stable staging prevents slips, property damage, and load issues in wet, icy, or windy conditions.
• Predictable pickups: Keeping access open and overhead clear helps us complete curbside pickups within 24–72 hours after booking.
• Better outcomes: Dry, properly filled bags lift cleaner, faster, and with less risk of spillage.

All‑Season Essentials (Quick Rules)

• Outdoor placement only with direct line of lift from the street (curb or driveway end preferred).
• Clear overhead of low branches, wires, and awnings; keep vehicles and gates out of the loading path.
• Firm, level ground (concrete, asphalt, compacted gravel). Use plywood on new asphalt or pavers.
• Keep debris at/below the printed fill line; no mounding. Follow approved materials.
• Pickup occurs 24–72 hours after booking; no appointment window; you don’t need to be home.

Rain and Wind: Secure, Dry, and Below the Fill Line

• Keep contents below the fill line and avoid mounding—wind can lift loose items.
• Top‑load heavier items to weigh down light debris; cover with a tarp and weigh corners (no cords tied overhead).
• Avoid low spots, puddles, and saturated soil. Stage on firm ground near the street for a shorter lift.

Snow and Ice: Plows, Berms, and Safe Access

• After storms, shovel access from the street to the bag; clear plow berms that block the lift zone.
• Stage at the driveway end (not deep in the yard). Avoid snowbanks, soft shoulders, and steep or icy slopes.
• Mark the area with cones/snow stakes for visibility; ensure overhead space is free of sagging snow‑laden branches.

Summer Heat and Sun: Surface Protection and Stability

• Fresh asphalt and pavers can scuff or soften in heat; use plywood under the bag.
• Avoid sprinkler zones and saturated lawns that become muddy; choose firm, level surfaces.

Storms and High Winds: When to Delay or Restage

• If severe winds, nor’easters, or hurricanes are forecast, avoid staging in exposed locations; postpone loading or restage closer to the street on firm ground.
• Use a snug tarp over light debris and weigh it down; do not exceed the fill line.
